Mayfran
Filtration / Coolant Management
mayfran filtration

Mayfran offers many wide filter options for coolant cleaning with capacities from 70 l/min up to 30.000 l/min.

When planning a new machining installation, the filtering and chip discharge should be taken into account from the very beginning.

Retro fitting of existing installations is usually quite cost intensive and does not provide the best solution for the recovery or cleaning the coolant.

Mayfran VacuFilter for
Grinding, Honing or Parts Washing

The high flow rate optimizes filtration for machining, grinding, honing, polishing and other metalworking operations.

VacuFilter can be equipped with either permanent or disposable filter media depending on applications.

Continuous and fully automated, units can be installed in above or below floor locations.

Mayfran RBF

RBF

The RBF-E can be used for larger central units by combining the standard modules.

The flexible set up of the RBF-units offers a better adaptation to the local circumstances. An additional plus: various types of material can be filtered in one filter.

Primary function Filtering of lubricating coolants
Suitable for Machining and grinding of steel, cast iron, brass, copper and aluminium
Chip types: Short chips, size max. 20 mm
Chip quantity 1 to 70 l/h
Coolant quantity from 50 l/min to 1500 l/min
Clarity level 25 - 40 µm, depending on operational field and filter screen
Viavent... The better way to transport chips and coolant overhead.
  • Better control of environmental risks from coolant handling, such as spillage and mists.
  • Lower overall facility investment costs, when construction costs are included in the cost comparison. Sometimes, plant space can be reduced.
  • Greater flexibility in the installation and relocation of related machine tools or machining centers.
  • Greater flexibility for all phases of engineering when designing a new production line.

VIAVENT® advantages over other sloped or flush systems:
  • VIAVENT uses no additional coolant for flushing. The volume of additional (clean) coolant in sloped or flush systems varies and can be as great as 40% of the total volume of coolant, depending on the application.
  • The VIAVENT system operates at much lower coolant volumes, particularly when less then 100% of the machines are operating and only a fraction of the total coolant is required.
  • VIAVENT main headers are of a smaller diameter and lighter weight, with less costly support structures. In any system, coolant filters are sized to process maximum coolant flow. In sloped/flush systems, however, filters must be sized to handle the total output of the machine tools, plus the required additional flushing coolant.
  • VIAVENT utilizes a lower overall coolant volume, which reduces coolant costs and filter size. Filter costs, floor space, pump costs, and pumping energy costs are further reduced.
  • Future expansion can easily be designed into an initial VIAVENT installation, without long-term operational and energy costs.
